Google PageRank Update: February 2012

On February 6, 2012, in Blog, by UXMedia

Today we had a PageRank update at UX Media, so probably, our website will be updated very soon.

We have some threads at DigitalPoint Forums, WebmasterWorld and some other forums of people reporting a PageRank update.

The previous PageRank update was in November, and before that, in August – so Google tries to stick to a 3 month PageRank update cycle, when they remember to push out the update.

As I said then, “Google keeps telling them not to worry about PageRank but SEOs don’t hear or listen. They think SEO is all about PageRank, when you and I know it has very little to do with PageRank. Especially Toolbar PageRank which is a fictional character used by Google’s marketing department.”

Anyway, I hope your PageRank in the Toolbar went up or remained the same. Although it has no immediate impact on rankings and is way out of date, many webmasters and SEOs take pride in their Toolbar PageRank.
